So you need to place them evenly across the blind but away from the parts in the head-rail as it might go up easy but getting them down can be a nightmare if the brackets are in the same place as the plastic parts in there. One thing I will say is tho on the wider/heavy Venetian blinds it best to put the bracket close to the cord lock as possible as that is where a lot of the stress and weight of the blind is when pull it up. So make sure that bracket is very secured to the top.
